The formula
How every print is priced
Material (per gram) + machine time (£2/hour) + handling per item. Minimum order £15. That’s it.
Worked example: a 40g PETG bracket is £4.00 material + £6.70 machine time + £2.50 handling = £13.20, which the £15 minimum rounds up. Handling is £2.50 per item for standard plastics, £3.50 for carbon-fibre nylon (hardened-nozzle wear and drying), and £4 for resin — resin rates also fold machine time, washing, UV curing and finishing into the per-gram price. The estimator above uses exactly these numbers.
| Service | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| FDM printing | £0.08–£0.25/g + machine time | PLA £0.08 · PETG £0.10 · ABS/ASA £0.12 · TPU £0.16 · CF-nylon £0.25 |
| Resin printing | £0.30–£0.35/g | Includes wash, UV cure and support clean-up |
| 3D design / CAD | £45/hour, £30 minimum | Most small parts 30–60 min · you keep the files |
| Reverse-engineering a broken part | Expect £15–£40 all-in | Design + print together · free remake if our measurements were off |
| Cast studio pieces | £35–£65 | Jesmonite & concrete, signature finishes |
| Personalised house numbers & plaques | from £59 | Sealed concrete for outdoor use, pot feet included |
| Sculpture editions | from £150 | Numbered, certificated, mould retired at edition end |
| Commissions & small runs | Quoted individually | 50% deposit on bespoke work · moulds retained for reorders |
| Priority service | +50% | 24–48h where physically possible — we’ll say honestly |
| Delivery | At cost | Free collection Newton Mearns · free southside drop-off over £40 · tracked Royal Mail from ~£3.50 |
- Prices are final — we’re not VAT registered, so nothing is added later. Minimum order £15.
- 10% student discount with valid student ID — just show it in your first message.
- Multi-part runs: the estimator prices every copy at full rate — mould-and-cast economics can beat it, so ask for a run quote.
- Every quote states the delivery charge and delivery date before you confirm — the total you agree is the total you pay.
Why publish prices?
Because hiding them is a tactic, not an accident
"Request a quote" usually means "we price by how much we think you’ll pay." Publishing the formula keeps us honest and saves you the dance. If a job is genuinely unusual, we’ll price it from the same components, in writing, before anything is made.
The deal, in one paragraph: fixed quote before work starts · deposit only on bespoke jobs · photos of the finished piece before it ships · every job covered by the remake-or-refund guarantee. No small print beyond this sentence.
