Casting studio · Glasgow

Cast by hand, finished like it matters.

Pieces in Jesmonite and concrete, made one at a time in our southside studio — sculptural forms 3D-designed first, then moulded in silicone and cast in our own finish recipes. Not another terrazzo coaster shop.

The Kelvin Forge way

Printed masters, hand-cast pieces

Most casting studios are limited to shapes you can hand-make. Most print studios can’t give you real material weight and stone-cool finish. We do both: sculptural forms designed digitally and 3D-printed as masters, then silicone-moulded and cast in Jesmonite or concrete.

Studio pieces

Vessels, candleholders, planters and objects in small batches — pieces you won’t see on every market stall. Typically £35–£65.

Personalised

House numbers and name plaques cast in sealed concrete for Scottish weather, from £59. Wedding and new-home commissions welcome.

Signature finishes

Our own mixes and colourways developed in-studio — never an off-the-shelf recipe. Each piece is finished, sealed and checked by hand.

Commissions

A shape you’ve imagined, an urn, an award, a one-off gift. If it can be modelled, it can be cast. Quoted individually.

Honest materials

Indoors, outdoors, and Scottish winters

Jesmonite is a beautiful, eco-minded acrylic composite — and an interior material. We’ll never sell you a Jesmonite piece for the garden.

Concrete handles the outdoors when it’s treated with respect: we seal outdoor pieces with a breathable silane/siloxane sealer and supply pot feet to keep them off wet ground through freeze-thaw winters. That’s the difference between a house number that lasts and one that spalls by February.

For makers

Mould-making service

Candlemakers, soap makers, chocolatiers, fellow casters: we design and print masters, then make production-grade silicone moulds you use in your own workshop.

Your product, your mould, made locally — with the master file kept on hand so a worn mould can be remade without starting over. Trade enquiries →
